About Our Personalized Crocks
~ It all starts with a lump of clay ~
Each personalized crock is handmade from start to finish in an 11-step process with at least 4 different artists
contributing to the final piece. Starting with a lump of clay, the crock is crafted then left to dry for a few days.
While the clay is still moist, your personalized characters are "embossed into the clay" one character at a time.
This provides that "rich look and feel" in which our personalized crocks are renowned for across the country.
The design of your choice (we have over 60) is then artistically hand-decorated on your personalized crock.
The decoration color of your choice is applied to the design, embossed personalized characters, and rim accent.
We have two beautiful decoration colors, cobalt blue and sage green, that you can choose for your crock.
The design may be embellished with brush or sponge work for accent and to provide an extra handmade touch.
The personalized crock is then glazed with the color of your choice (stone gray, antique white, or honey wheat).
All 6 decoration and glaze color combinations work well together and provide for a stunning finished product.
Your crock is then fired in a kiln at 2300° F. for 48 hours in a heat/cool cycle. Upon removal from the kiln - it ships!
All of our crocks are food safe, lead free, and suitable for use in the oven, microwave, freezer, and dishwasher.
Each and every piece is a one-of-a-kind work of art that will be treasured and last for generations.
