Return Policy

The Chat Shoppe commits itself to 100% customer satisfaction.  In order to provide our customers with the utmost purchasing confidence, we offer a hassle free "30 day" money back guarantee.  Please follow the return procedure listed below.

RETURN PROCEDURE

  • Returned merchandise purchased at The Chat Shoppe must be mailed to the following address within 30 days of shipment date and must include customer's full name, address, and telephone number:

  • Note: Personalized product sales (personalized pottery, personalized slate) are final and cannot be returned, refunded, or cancelled. If an error was made and was our mistake, you must contact us. We will re-make the item for you if we were in error. The customer is responsible for spelling, grammar, etc., that was provided on the order. Any personalized products returned to us without authorization will be returned to the purchaser.

  • Returned merchandise must be in "new, unused, and unworn condition with all original packaging materials, any instructions booklets, and all merchandise tags attached."  NEW and UNUSED means that there may be "no marks" on the merchandise "nor any wear on any tags on the merchandise or on the containers for the merchandise."  We do not sell used merchandise and will not accept merchandise with any indication that the merchandise was used.  In such cases, the merchandise will be returned to the purchaser.

  • Refunds are issued within 24 hours of receipt to The Chat Shoppe and in the same tender as the original purchase.  Include return address and telephone number with the returned item.

  • The purchaser is responsible for postage/shipping costs on returned merchandise.  It is recommended that appropriate postal insurance be acquired relative to the purchase price of the ordered product for you to avoid loss in the event of damage in return shipment.  The Chat Shoppe does not reimburse for return shipping and handling charges.

  • There is no charge for restocking. Total amount of sale, minus shipping,  is total amount refunded.

The Chat Shoppe is not responsible for any merchandise returned to it that is not returned in the manner set forth in this returns policy.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS & CHANGE REQUESTS

  • Change Requests:  All change requests (i.e., you want to make a change in personalization on a previous personalized product order) must be made "on the same day/date" the order was placed - no exceptions.  Custom items are personalized relatively quickly, and once personalization has been started, no changes can be made.
               

  • Order Cancellations:  Orders may only be cancelled "on the same day/date" the order was placed.  All order cancellations will be charged a processing fee of $10.00 or 15% of the order total amount, whichever is greater.

DAMAGED MERCHANDISE

Please inspect all merchandise inside the delivered package upon receipt.  If there is any damage to the merchandise purchased:

  • Immediately report any damage to respective shipping carrier.

  • Contact and inform The Chat Shoppe customer service at:  custhelp@ptd.net
    The Chat Shoppe will contact you within 24 hours with instructions.

ONLY EXCEPTION TO RETURN POLICY

Special orders (example:  personalized pottery, personalized slate) with requested names designed on merchandise, can not be returned unless product is damaged during shipment or significant flaw in workmanship.  Correct spelling and capitalization of characters to be added to personalized products is the complete responsibility of the customer during ordering.  The Chat Shoppe is not responsible for inaccuracies in spelling or capitalization of characters provided by the customer when purchasing personalized products.  Returns must follow procedures outlined above.

If you order a personalized product such as "Bill & Lisa - Forever In Love" and then Bill or Lisa later decide they are not in love, well - get the point??  The Chat Shoppe can guarantee our products with a hassle free return policy, but there are some things in life we simply can't guarantee!!
