DAWG FAITHFUL SALUTES OUR SENIORS!!

Berwick Wrestling saluted the outstanding seniors on this year's team prior to the match against Crestwood on January 31.  Being a senior wrestler is something special that each will remember and cherish their whole life.   Seniors - the valuable leadership you have provided this year has earned the respect of not only the entire team, but of the entire Dawg Faithful.  We sincerely wish you only the best in finishing this season and in all of your goals and anticipations for the future of your life.  Our best wishes always - and - THANK YOU!!

Tyler Perry, Senior, Team Captain
Team Captain Tyler Perry will be a record-breaker for Berwick Wrestling upon completion of this year's action.  Tyler, who notched his 100th win on December 28, is destined to eclipse the all-time career win record in the history of our program.  But Tyler's goals are much higher.  Perry will be targeting entrance to the state championship tournament to finish his career with a state medal adorned around his neck.

Richard Brown, Senior
Did you ever wish Rich would've started wrestling about 6 years ago?  I can't ever get that thought out of mind.  One of the strongest kids I ever saw wrestle, Rich opens the eyes of his opponents the first time they lock up.  Rich is a warrior who wrestles with as much heart as he does strength and is a major contributor to the success of our program this year.

Steve Hess, Senior
Here is another kid that I wish would've donned wrestling shoes several years ago.  With size and massive strength, the only thing missing is experience.  If you want to talk about heroes, Steve is a hero.  Imagine being a first year wrestler and thrust into the starting spot at heavyweight against kids that have been wrestling most of their life.  It doesn't stop "Get Mean Steve" who goes after every opponent with the heart of a tiger.

Ravi Kanani, Senior
Blessed with one of the greatest names - say it 10 times in a row - it sings!!  Ravi will smile when he reads this but has to be tired of me saying it all season.  Ravi has served a big role for Berwick this year as a key back-up in the lineup.  It's kids like Ravi that have my highest respect.  A hard worker that knows his job when he gets into the lineup, Ravi goes out and gives it everything he's got!!

Cody Spaide, Senior
Back in late December, Cody came up to this webmaster and said I have him listed as a junior on the website instead of a senior.  I was so surprised that I have now chalked it up to an extreme case of "wishful thinking."  Cody is another kid I wished would've started wrestling at a much younger age and definitely one kid I wish we had back next year.  Cody is one tough and strong kid that I know will finish the season on fire.
