There's nothing like starting off the new season by competing in an individual wrestling tournament.  It's the time when the grain gets separated from the chaff. 

And what's the absolute most exciting thing about the sport of wrestling?

The answer is simple.

It's Man Against Man.

May The Best Man Win.

The Dawgs break out of the pen this season to engage in hand-to-hand combat at the stiff and highly competitive Penn Manor wrestling tournament slated for December 9 & 10, 2005.  The Penn Manor tournament will be an individual tournament with wrestle-backs to 8th place.  There will also be a junior varsity tournament to start off the day on Saturday, December 10.  Wrestlers from 24 competing teams will being doing battle against one another with only one goal at hand.  To stand on the top step of the podium.

Teams that will be competing at this year's Penn Manor tournament include the following:  Berwick, Brookville, Cape Henlopen, Clearfield, Crestwood, East Pennsboro, Eastern York, Elco, Elizabethtown, Franklin MD, Gardenspot, Garnet Valley, Lancaster Catholic, Lassalle, Lebanon, Mechanicsburg, Northern, Penn Manor, Penn Trafford, Spring Grove, Sussex DEL, and Twin Valley.

Berwick will be rolling out the 2005-2006 edition of the Dawgs and will be showcasing their relatively young but very talented team.  The Dawgs have been working extremely hard, are biting at the bit, and are anxious for the start of official action.  Excitement is at fever pitch.  Now is the time to suit up in a Dawg singlet, tie those wrestling shoes and strap on that headgear, and look into the mirror to see nothing else but a "Berwick Wrestler."

Dawg place winning results from the Penn Manor tournament will be posted the following Sunday or as soon as received.

PS - This website will be relying heavily on a few key volunteers this season for submitting timely results and ultra-speedy submission of  photos.  Hopefully things will go very smooth and it is expected that team coverage will be just as fresh and timely as in the past 5 years.
