Perry & Venditti Earn 2005 - 2006 BERWICK WRESTLING It takes a great deal for an athlete to achieve success in
the sport of wrestling. It takes an enormous commitment for a student
to achieve success in academics.
It takes a special breed of student-athlete to be able to
excel in both.
There are many students that are able to
rise toward the top of their class. Their are many athletes that are
able to rise to the top in wrestling. More importantly, there are many
top-notch wrestlers who are unable to achieve success in academics and
become limited or restrained in furthering their education in college.
What makes one truly stand-out, something that separates
them from the crowd, is the ability to excel both academically and in the
sport of wrestling.
A champion is a person that dedicates his self to excellence
in all that he does. Whether it's in the classroom or on the wrestling
mat, a champion is going to focus and dedicate himself to an unwavering work
ethic to succeed in accomplishing those goals that lie ahead of him.
Simply put, to be the best one must strive to be the best in all that you
do. The key words are "in all that you do."
The Berwick Wrestling Program is proud to announce that the
following Dawgs have separated themselves from the crowd by both their
academic and wrestling achievements.
Special Note: This may be the first time in years that
District 2 did not select an all-academic wrestling team. This
webmaster has always combined coverage of both state and district academic
honors. In past years, the District 2 Wrestling Coaches Association
held an outstanding dinner ceremony to recognize student-wrestlers in the
district. If District 2 decides to make a late announcement this
summer, such information will be posted at that time.
