Berwick Dominates & Goes 2 - 0 At NHSCA Wrestling Festival On January 14
Dawgs Stomp On Jim Thorpe 60 - 10 and Pounce On JFK 72 - 3
The Dawgs traveled to Salisbury High School in Allentown,
PA, to compete in the National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA)
Wrestling Festival on Saturday, January 14. Berwick had two duals
scheduled and went an impressive and dominating 2-0 on the day. The
Dawgs stomped on Jim Thorpe by the score of 60-10 and pounced on JFK by the
score of 72-3. Berwick is now 10-5 overall and 5-0 in district
competition on the season.
Berwick wrestlers recording wins by fall in both duals
included Nick Venditti, Aaron Karns, and Zeb Bankes: Dawgs winning by
pin against Jim Thorpe included Chris Johnson, Aaron Karns, Zeb Bankes, Nick
Venditti, and Josh Snyder. Dawgs winning by fall against JFK included:
Aaron Karns, Derek Bower, Zeb Bankes, Steve Prebola, Matt Saxton, Nick
Venditti, and Josh Walsh.
For the day, the Dawgs recorded a total of 13 falls and lost
only 4 bouts in the two duals.
