Venditti Named Press-Enterprise "Athlete of the Week" On March 17, 2008

On Monday, March 17, 2008, Dawg senior Nick Venditti was
named the Press-Enterprise Athlete Of The Week for March 2 - March 8.
Venditti was recognized for his stellar performance at the
2008 PIAA AA State Championship Tournament where he grabbed State Runner-Up
honors. It was Nick's second consecutive state medal in addition to
his 8th Place finish at the 2007 PIAA AA State Championship Tournament. Nick
also finished his career as the most winning wrestler in the history of
Berwick Wrestling as he notched 137 Career Wins into the Dawg record books.

The PE also named Dawg senior Aaron Karns as honorable
mention for the week of March 2 - March 8. Karns was recognized for
his excellent performance at the 2008 PIAA State Championship Tournament
where he grabbed 6th Place honors. It was Aaron's second consecutive state
medal in addition to his State Runner-Up finish at the 2007 PIAA AA State
Championship Tournament. Aaron also finished his career as the 4th
most winning wrestler in the history of Berwick Wrestling as he recorded 123
Career Wins into the Dawg record books.
