Berwick Captures District 2 Team Duals Championship On February 2

Berwick captured its second consecutive District 2 AA Team Duals Championship title on Saturday, February 2, 2008.

Due to a weather cancellation on Friday, February 1, all 3 rounds were held on Saturday, February 2. The quarterfinal and semifinal rounds were held in the morning and afternoon at Lake Lehman High School. The championship final was held at 7pm at Pittston High School.

The Dawgs opened up with two overwhelming victories that included a 49-0 victory over Blue Ridge and a 50-28 victory over Western Wayne.

In the championship final of the 2008 District 2 Team Duals Championship, Berwick won a thriller with a 37-33 win over Lake Lehman High School.

Berwick is now a program record-setting 21 - 5 on the season.

Berwick now moves onto the PIAA AA State Team Duals Championship Tournament to be held at the Giant Center, Hershey, PA, on February 8 & 9.

Dawgs winning all 3 of their bouts at district duals included: Lou Ney, Josh Winkelmann, Nick Venditti, Aaron Karns, Ryan Sitler, and Dom Yantorn.
