Bujno Named Press-Enterprise "Athlete Of The Week" On January 14, 2008

On Monday, January 13, 2008, Dawg sophomore Chris Bujno was named the Press-Enterprise Athlete Of The Week for December 30 - January 5.

Bujno had a stellar performance going an undefeated 8-0 at the 2008 Brute Battlefield Duals held in Alexandria, Virginia, on January 4 & 5, 2008. Bujno had 7 bonus point wins including 2 falls, a tech fall, and 4 major decisions.

Bujno is currently 25-5 this season with 60 career wins as of January 13.  Last season, Bujno won the District Championship Title at the 2007 PIAA District 2 AA Championship Tournament and broke the all-time freshman win record in the history of Berwick Wrestling when he notched 35 wins in his varsity debut.

The Press Enterprise also named the following Dawgs as honorable mention for the week of 1/30/07-1/5/08 for their outstanding performances at the 2008 Brute Battlefield Duals:  senior Aaron Karns (7-1 with 7 falls), senior Lou Ney (7-1 with 5 falls), senior Nick Venditti (7-1 with 4 falls), and junior Ryan Sitler (6-2 with 3 falls).
